What it does

It changes the plug geometry, not the electrical voltage.

Use this adapter when a compatible device or power supply has a European Europlug and needs to connect to a NEMA type-A socket commonly found in the USA, Japan and other regions. It is a direct plug adapter with no cable, so it stays compact in a travel bag, tool case or accessory box.

US / Japan plug

This is a 2-pole adapter without protective earth. It is intended for devices and power supplies that use a flat 2-pin Europlug. It is not designed for grounded Schuko plugs or devices that require a protective earth connection.
