WindSim Control Box Manual
Choose what happened and Ocie will guide you through the correct setup or firmware recovery path. The recovery tool restores the OCRacing firmware through the Arduino Nano USB bootloader directly from this page.
What do you need to do?
Choose the normal setup guide for a new WindSim. Use firmware recovery only if SimHub Arduino Setup Tool overwrote the OCRacing firmware.
Set up a new WindSim in SimHub
If the WindSim Control Box is brand new, do not restore firmware. Open the setup guide and follow the SimHub Arduino, ShakeIt Wind, fan mapping and wind profile steps.
- Close SimHub completely.
- Close Arduino IDE and every serial monitor.
- Disconnect other Arduino / USB serial devices. The restore tool can overwrite the Arduino-compatible device you select.
Approve every Arduino / USB serial port in the browser dialog. Ocie can only watch approved ports, so this lets it detect which one disappears and comes back after USB reconnect.
Click Start detecting. Ocie will start watching the approved ports and then tell you when to unplug and plug back the control box.
When the same approved port disappears and comes back, Ocie marks it as the control box and opens the firmware restore step.
Disconnect every other Arduino / USB serial device first. Then connect only the WindSim Control Box and choose its port from the browser dialog.
Firmware restored. Test the fans.
Before testing, confirm that the fan wiring and external power are connected. Ocie will test the left fan first and the right fan second.
The test buttons stay disabled until both boxes are ticked.
1. Test left fan
Keep fingers clear of the fan, then start the left-side output test.
2. Test right fan
After the left fan is confirmed, test the right-side output.
Fan hardware test passed.
If the fans do not work in SimHub after this, the firmware and hardware are probably OK and the issue is likely SimHub configuration. Continue with the WindSim SimHub setup manual. If you have any problem, contact us at info@ocracing.eu.
Fan did not spin.
